What is ECO 4?
The ECO 4 Scheme, or Energy Company Obligation 4 funding, is a program in the UK aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency of homes. It is administered by Ofgem and funded by major energy suppliers.
The scheme provides funding for energy efficiency improvements to homes with low energy efficiency. Various improvements are eligible under ECO 4, such as back boiler replacement, new combi boilers, insulation, solar PV and more.
A wide range of improvements can be carried out under the ECO scheme, including solid wall insulation (both internal and external), cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, pitched roof insulation, roof room insulation, solar PV, back boiler replacement, new combi boilers and controls.
